  • Description

Nutritional composition studies that assess similarities and differences of levels of important nutrients and anti-nutrients are an essential part of the safety assessment of new crop varieties that are used as food and feed.

Managed by the Agriculture and Food Systems Institute (AFSI), the Crop Composition Database (CCDB) contains crop composition data obtained from studies conducted over a number of years at worldwide locations. The data it contains provides insight into the natural variability of the nutritional composition of conventional crops.
